I very much like the default purple Ubuntu background, but I found myself desiring just a bit of Commodore branding on my desktop. So, as part of my attempted embracing of FOSS, I installed GIMP, Googled up a Commodore logo (in SVN!), added it as a layer and set opacity. Very subtle and satisfying.
