jewyorican: Meet Ivan the Pygmy Winged Jackalope!!! The Levin Zoo is proud to announce the soon arrival of a Pygmy Winged Jackalope. His name is Ivan and he is 8 months old. He weights about 5 pounds and is full grown. Pygmy Winged Jackalopes are rodents and despite their “wings” they cannot fly. Their antlers are shed in autumn and come back during early spring. The antlers are used to fight off rattle snakes their biggest predators, winning territorial battles, and finding a mate. Once he has all of his shots we will take him out to the park so all of our friends can meet him. Yay Ivan!!
