Upgraded Dell Inspiron 8000 to Ubuntu 9.10 the other week. Don’t boot it up often. Booted tonight and found 40+ updates to download and install. And that’s not all. After I installed Snow Leopard earlier today, there were 500+ MB of Apple Updates to download and install. And after that was done, there was another 30MB Safari update to install and reboot. Is constant updates like this just a fact of big windowing operating systems? Thinking about trying the Arch Distro.
