I did a 5-hour Energy drink yesterday on a whim to aid with my programming. It ended well… very well. Better than coffee or Pepsi. Taurine and glucoronolactone with some caffeine provides a different buzz than caffeine alone. Also, frees both hands in the morning to type on the subway (no coffee). Haven’t had this “let-me-at-it” feeling since Scala. Stimulants are nice.
Doing another today, even though the morning is full of meetings (a waste of the boost). But even still, in my new approach, I can prevent to productively slips from occurring with continuous writing so I can always get my mindset back where it must be, and dispensing with the important and urgent work quickly. One laptop “environment” for the interrupt-driven agency mindset, and a other for the creative, inspired and motivated programming mind. In this way, I can maintain my edge.
