The surprised interest about Inwood Hill Park area where I live never fails to amuse me. Yes, it’s Manhattan. Yes, Manhattan goes up to about 218th St (the Upper West Side is around 79th St). No, it’s not the Bronx.

I’m a few blocks from the site where the Dutch bought Manhattan from the Native American Indians, close to where the Drums Along the Hudson Pow Wow that I just blogged about occurs.

Yes, it’s easy to get to. It’s at the end of the A-line, which runs express, AND has several 1-train stops — the fateful 1, on which I met the one. I’ll save that story for later.
