My daily journal entry today got Google search hits within an hour of posting. It’s a very “long-tail” search, but still, new content published from a verified author on a platform announcing content with pubsubhubbub gets into Google search results with a thumbnail picture… immediately! One hit was from the UK, another from Argentina, and another from the US. Google has actually been this way since the BigTable Caffeine update, whereby smaller “patch-like” updates are distributed to the Google data centers, rather than the entire index. It’s just interesting to see with Google Author Verification and on my own site :-)
Google Author Verification kicked in last Wednesday. Just decided to tumble it for posterity.
Did I mention the fresh ground chocolate peanut butter at Whole Foods?
Japanese Sumo oranges kick ass because they are just as sweet and much less messy than Bell oranges and Tangelos.
WholeFoods might have grind your own chocolate peanut butter, but Stew Leonard’s has cows!
Interesting spice display at WholeFoods.

iOS 5 location-based reminders work! Goodbye Google Tasks. This is from walking up out of the subway. I dreamed of this years ago.
What’s going on when 2 site’s traffic track this closely? Surely it’s a statement about Google algorithms or public web usage more than about MSN or YouTube in particular. Do I see the shadow of the Panda Google algorithm update being cast. I will hereby predict that the Google Trends for Websites—the unsung hero of the SEO/Analytics arena—will be shut down in 2012 because it provides TOO MUCH transparency as to what’s going on with site traffic and Google Algorithms.
At Mitsuwa Japanese Supermarket. Going to try REAL wasabi - not the horseradish powder stuff!
The Roadtec RX700 is one friggin’ cool looking piece of equipment, whatever it’s for.
Thank you @Arikatt. Best cupcakes in the world for Adi’s 1st birthday. Ari is an expert gift giver!
Reading the Steve Jobs book. Here’s the mention of Commodore’s opportunity to purchase Apple. Posting this from inside Google’s NYC building.
